​There are many reasons to go to Lanzarote. I will list a few:

• Lanzarote is part of the Canary Islands, meaning a mild and clement weather throughout the year: the average winter temperature is  about 65°F and it rarely goes above 85°F in the summer. 

• Is is garanteed sunshine, with less than 3 days of rain per month, througout the year. 

• It is a human scale island, easy to visit without hurry.

• Here, there are no big tourist resorts, no big hotels on the seashore but small quiet towns and nice medium-sized hotels.

• These are quiet beaches nested in isolated coves.

• These are the breathtaking lanscapes of Timanfaya volcanoes, impressive lava flows and plains covered by black and red ashes.

• It is the art of Cesar Manrique whose many creations combine the savagery of volcanoes with the creativity of modern art.

• It is an arid country vegetation, where cacti mingle with unusual crops.

• These are seabeds where weird species roam the crystal clear water.

• And all this within 4 hours of flying from France: why deprive yourself? (of course, way longer from the US!)
